We are seeking candidates to fill a full time opening as a Boar Stud Technician to work at our Geode Boar Stud Facility near Danville, Iowa.

This position will have a variety of duties including the daily care, health, and maintenance of animals within Geode. This position is primarily responsible for the collection of semen from boars along with moving animals within the facility, vaccinations, record keeping and related activities.

The individuals selected for this position must:

1. Be able to follow safety rules and bio-security regulations setup by TriOak Foods.
2. Must enjoy working with swine, be able to work in a swine production facility environment and be able to learn the collection process.
3. Must have basic knowledge of, or be willing to learn proper swine husbandry skills.
4. Must be self-motivated and be able to work unsupervised.
5. Must be able to plan ahead, be proactive and be detailed oriented.
6. Must be physically capable of lifting 75 lbs.
7. Be able to work together with co-workers and managers in order to promote teamwork.
8. Must have good attendance and reliable transportation.
9. Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or management.

Boar Stud Technician Application

We are seeking candidates to fill one Animal Transport Driver position. This position requires a safe, efficient tractor trailer driver with a positive attitude to make mostly regional runs (SE Iowa and Western Illinois) scheduled Monday through Friday during 1st shift operations. Depending on needs and delivery schedules, the drivers within this department also deliver feed loads out of the Oakville Feed Mill.
This position will be responsible to drive safely to scheduled sow farms for loading weaned and / or culled pigs; coordination of safe loading and accurate counts; delivery to local grower farms; safe unloading; and tractor/trailer cleanup including washing as needed. Successful candidates will have a valid CDL, a proven safe driving history and the ability to work and communicate effectively.

The person selected for this position must:

1. Be physically able to safely and efficiently load /unload weaned pigs and/or culled sows into trailer and appropriate compartments.
2. Be physically able to safely and efficiently wash and disinfect tractor/trailers on a daily basis.
3. Be able to interact positively with TriOak Sow Farm Employees on a daily basis.
4. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers / managers in order to promote teamwork.
5. Be self-motivated and be able to work without direct supervision.
6. Must have good attendance.
7. Have a valid CDL-A with a good, safe driving record.
8. Be willing to perform other duties assigned by your immediate supervisor.

Animal Transport Driver Application

We are seeking candidates to fill an immediate position working in our Feed Mill in Bushnell, Illinois. Our Feed Mill Operators work in areas that include Receiving, Mill Operation and Loadout as needed. The individual selected for this position will be required to learn all Feed Manufacturing Operations.

The individual selected must:

• Operate feed manufacturing equipment to produce various feeds as required.
• Must be able to work in the receiving function and understand the internal movement of ingredients and mixing functions.
• Be able to do basic maintenance, preventative maintenance and maintain a clean work area.
• Be able to operate the loadout function in the mill.
• Must be able to operate computer-controlled systems for the mill.
• Must have a valid driver license.
• Be physically capable of lifting 50 pounds.
• Have good communication skills.

In addition, the individual selected will be required to assist in weekly and period end inventory, calculating and maintenance projects as they come up, occasionally on weekends.
